Using GenEDITS Plus to Edit Your Canadian Collaborative Stage Data

Introduction

The CSv1 EDITS package is developed under the auspices of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to work in a broad range of programs for which data collection is decentralized, but needs to be standardized for use. These programs have been in widespread use by facility and central registries for over a decade, and can be incorporated by registry software. GenEDITS Plus is an application for editing registry data. Other parts of the package are used to write or select edits. The Canadian CS EDITS Metafile has been created specifically for editing the Collaborative Stage data elements at the provincial level prior to submitting data to the Canadian Cancer Registry in the input tumour record file layout.
