Following the overwhelming success of education sessions to date, the Partnership, Canadian Association of Pathologists (CAP-ACP) and Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) are pleased to announce the continuation of the CAP education sessions in 2016.

In July 2009, the Canadian Association of Pathologists (CAP-ACP) endorsed the cancer protocols developed by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) as the pan-Canadian content standard for all cancer pathology reporting. To date, CAP protocols have been implemented in six provinces in Canada with the support of the CAP-ACP.

These protocols aid pathologists in the effective reporting of diagnostic and prognostic findings, which are critical to patient care and the collection of collaborative stage data. These protocols were developed by multidisciplinary teams and are supported in both paper and electronic formats by CAP. More information about the CAP Cancer Protocols, including access to the protocols and new work aids, can be found on the College of American Pathologists website.
